This policy explains what information Birdies Networking LLC (“Birdies,” “we,” “us”) collects through birdiesnetworking.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Birdies is a business networking group based in Sarasota, Florida.
Information we collect
Member profile form. When a member fills out our profile form, we collect:
- Name, business name, industry, and chapter
- Business phone, business email, website, city or service area, and social media links
- A headshot photo, short bio, and a description of good referrals for your business
- A personal contact email, which is used only by Birdies and never shown publicly
- Whether you want to be listed in our public member directory
Automatic information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. We use this to keep the site secure and running well.
Payments. Membership and event payments are handled on our Kajabi page, not on this website. Kajabi and its payment processors handle your payment details under their own privacy policies. We do not see or store your full card number.
How we use your information
- To run Birdies: managing memberships, chapters, meetings, events, and referrals
- To build and display your public member page and directory listing, if you opt in
- To contact you about your membership, meetings, and events
- To keep the website secure and fix problems
Public member pages
If you check “Yes, list me on the public Birdies directory,” your member page will show your headshot, name, business, industry, business contact information, social links, bio, and referral description. This page can be seen by anyone and may appear in search engines. Your personal contact email is never shown.
Every profile is reviewed before it is published. If you do not opt in, your profile stays private and is used only by Birdies. You can change your choice or ask us to remove your page at any time.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With other Birdies members, to support networking and referrals
- With service providers that help us run Birdies, including our website host (Hostinger), our member and payment platform (Kajabi), and Google (Google Workspace, where we keep our member records)
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Birdies, our members, or others
Cookies and outside services
This site uses a small number of cookies that are needed for it to work, such as login and security cookies for site administrators, plus page caching to keep the site fast. Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google when you visit. Links to other websites, including member businesses and Kajabi, are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.
How long we keep information
We keep member information while you are a member and for a reasonable time afterward for our records. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove your public page and delete your profile, except for anything we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices
- Update your profile, or change whether you are listed publicly, by emailing birdiesbizsrq@gmail.com
- Ask for a copy of the information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it
- Unsubscribe from Birdies emails using the link in any email, or by contacting us
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections and reviewing every profile before it goes public. No website or online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Birdies is for business owners and professionals. This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
